Stone, brick and metal mosques

Mosques appear in a wide variety of materials and settings

The 1,400 year old Haghia Sophia Mosque in Istanbul contrasts with a modern metal mosque near Pammukale. You don't see too many metal churches.











Below, classic minarets the first seen from inside the Blue Mosque in Istanbul the second alongside a volcanic plug in Uchisar in the Cappadocia Region in central Turkey.
